Change
One of the best ways I have found to help myself let go is to write. I write in my journal , I write scripts, and I write on my blogs. That way I can read about my fears. Writing helps because you know you have documented your life. So, when things change you can always go back to reminisce on the past.
There is a quote from the television show, "Everwood", that sticks out in my head whenever I think of change. The main character Ephraim wrote a paper on change. I'm pretty sure it was Greg Berlanti, the writer, who actually wrote it. It's really amazing and I think it sums up how the world thinks about change.
"The more things change, the more they stay the same. I'm not sure who the first person was who said that. Probably Shakespeare. Or maybe Sting. But at the moment, it's the sentence that best explains my tragic flaw, my inability to change. I don't think I'm alone in this. The more I get to know other people, the more I realize it's kind of everyone's flaw. Staying exactly the same for as long as possible, standing perfectly still... It feels safer somehow. And if you are suffering, at least the pain is familiar. Because if you took that leap of faith, went outside the box, did something unexpected... Who knows what other pain might be out there, waiting for you. Chances are it could be even worse. So you maintain the status quo. Choose the road already traveled and it doesn't seem that bad. Not as far as flaws go. You're not a drug addict. You're not killing anyone... Except maybe yourself a little. When we finally do change, I don't think it happens like an earthquake or an explosion, where all of a sudden we're like this different person. I think it's smaller than that. The kind of thing most people wouldn't even notice unless they looked at us really close. Which, thank God, they never do. But you notice it. Inside you that change feels like a world of difference. And you hope this is it. This is the person you get to be forever... that you'll never have to change again."
And yet you change.

P.S. "Everwood" is a great series. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a series to watch on DVD or to add to your Netflix Que..
P.S.S. I hope everyone has a great holiday and I wish everyone luck on their New Year's resolutions.

"Step inside Krystal's head. It's a scary little world"
Well my head is a scary place, good scary, not bad scary. So I guess I hope that you guys stay tuned to my blog and you enjoy learning more about me.

P.S. When I blog I feel like I am in a movie and my blog is a voiceover. It's great. There is one movie from my teenage years called, "The Perfect Man" starring Hilary Duff. haha. Anywho, she blogs and calls herself the traveling gypsy. Yeah...I guess I am saying I feel like Hilary Duff. In that movie. The leading man is Ben Feldman. He is currently on a Lifetime series "Drop Dead Diva" and he is pretty awesome in it. Wow! I cannot believe I just referenced a Hilary Duff movie and a Lifetime series. But seriously check out the show. It's actually pretty good.

Ashamed...
I am ashamed. As you can tell I can't even say the "real" names because I am so ashamed. As I said before I try and find the good in things. So here's my good...Taylor Lautner is dreamy. What!?! Now I am a creeper because I am older than him and he is under 18, but I don't heart him because of the V word franchise, but because of the "Rolling Stone" issue. He is a good kid. Just read the article. He is one of the few "nice" in Hollywood fellas.
Those of you who know me well, know that I do my research before a celeb becomes a favorite of mine, so I guess it's a pretty big deal. I can usually pick them well. For instance, Taylor Swift. (Weird connection, she is romantically-linked to the Taylor I mentioned above.) Anywho, I knew she would be huge one day. She is so nice that you can't help but love her. You don't have to be a fan of her music, but you can be a fan of her as a person. I think that Taylor Lautner will be the one big star who comes from the TWIGFLU-ness. Take my word for it. Now I am just rambling, but so will Justin Bieber. He sings "One Time" this kid is genius. I also have a slightly older crush on him and he's from Canada so I can't help but love him.
P.S. I have been studying all day and I literally haven't talked to anyone for 3 hours, hence the rambling. I talk a lot.
Peace and Love,
Krystal Dey
P.S.S. I think I"m supposed to do the P.S. after my signature. OopS!
P.S.S.S I just realized I am a magazine junkie. I love reading about entertainment. I have a subscription to "Rolling Stone", 17, and I just subscribed to EW.
P.S.S.S.S Spread some holiday cheer this year and go get yourself a copy of December's "Rolling Stone".

Christmas is Here and Randomness!
Today it snowed a lot. Oh boy! I wish I could love the snow more. I try and find good in everything, but I just don't like the snow. I mean I love to make snowmen, sledding, hot chocolate, and snow angels. But besides that my mind is pretty set that I would rather live by a warm beach.

"The Proposal" Movie Review
I have recently re-watched it now that it is out on DVD and my opinion still hasn't changed. My whole family loves it and they think I am their cynical family member because I am a film major and I look at films differently now. Would I recommend this movie? I guess it depends on the person. If you love romantic-comedy's go for it, if you love Ryan Reynolds watch it, but if you're like me and you're sick of the fake fiance thing do not watch it.
Peace and Love,
Krystal
P.S. There is one ABCFamily movie that was actually called, "My Fake-Fiance" starring Melissa Joan Heart and Joey Lawrence and I didn't mind that one because I didn't expect it to be good or funny, so it ended up being better than I though. (But isn't that how it goes, if you expect something to be good it usually isn't and if you expect something to suck it's better than expected?) The script was weird and had a nonsense Mafia thing to it, but besides that I have a crush on the old teen heart throb Lawrence brother.
A Christmas Story
The script flowed well and the actors really embraced their characters. It was a great adaptation of a movie. I really enjoyed the production. They did a great job, I can't wait to watch the classic movie.

I have watched my fair share of reality shows. Don’t ask me why, it’s not fun. Reality shows are like the surgery channel you don’t want to watch it, but once you start you can’t look away.
I’ve come up with a plan to get my own reality show. I have narrowed it down to 5 simple rules and then I’m in. Forget about my dream career because once my reality show kicks off I will be fabulously rich for living a much more dramatic life. How hard can it be?
5 Rules to be on a Reality Show
1.) You must talk slow.
2.) You have to eat out at least twice a day.
3.) You must actually care about your “friends” problems.
4.) You must take an acting class.
5.) You must go tanning twice a week.
P.S. Do you think the producers will be okay with taking the dramatic party scenes and turning them into melodramatic scenes about me in my sweats tv-ing and sandwiching?

Where in the World Did Devon Sawa and Billy Gilman Go?
I remember watching Little Giants over and over just so I could see the beautiful Devon Sawa play football. Just last week I was flipping through the channels and happened to run across one of the networks playing Halloween movies. Luckily, Casper was on. I love when Casper is a real boy.
Back in my younger days I could have sworn Devon Sawa would be taking the same path as Leonardo DiCaprio, but I just can’t seem to find him anywhere. Sure, I’ve searched for him online, but he hasn’t acted in anything in the last few years.
This leads me straight to my next question. Where in the world is Billy Gilman? Some of you may know him as the young country star who sang the touching song, “One Voice.” Secretly, I was a fan. I would never let anyone know, though – especially my little sister, who has every single one of his CD’s. That little 12 year-old boy had the voice of an angel, and my little sister loved singing his songs because their voices were in the same range.
I searched for him online too, and it turns out he has recently released a few CD’s, none of which I’d heard of.
I just need to know where these two iconic young boys have gone and why they have not been around to make their mark in the 2000’s. I understand that not every teen idol can be as big as Leo. I guess I’m a little disappointed, because these two young stars started out huge, but then faded out. If you had asked me ten years ago who I thought would be the next big things, it would have been these two boys, who are now men.
I still have hope for Devon Sawa and Billy Gilman. Maybe in the next ten years Devon Sawa will have a number one movie at the box office, Billy Gilman will have a number one Country album, and as for me, I will be Mrs. Sawa.

Little Orphan's
Over the weekend I went to Tuacahn’s musical production, “Annie”. Obviously, I liked the play because it brings back the great memories of my youth. That little red headed orphan played on my VCR over and over. The writing for this show is very dated, but can still be enjoyed today. It’s a classical storyline and I enjoy it. I really like the fact that it is about a 10-year old girl because most musicals aren’t about young kids.
In my opinion, the one fault I find is I don’t really like the character Annie. Sure, she’s nice, but she seems a little aggressive and snooty about the fact that she has Daddy Warbucks. And I always feel bad for the other orphans. This musical is a celebration of not being an orphan anymore, but to me it’s a sad story of the other orphans who still live in the orphanage.
P.S. “You’re a little orphan, nobody cares about you!” Name that movie…..

Smells like Candy Canes on Christmas
Top 5 reasons why cold weather is gross
1. It is cold2. I have to wake up 20 minutes early to start my car
3. I have to walk slow so I don’t trip
4. Goodbye flip-flops
5. I spend my time couching
Top 5 reasons why cold weather is full of awesomeness
1. Snow is pretty2. Beanie’s and scarves are excellent accessories
3. I love hot chocolate
4. Christmas music is classic
5. Candy canes are delicious
6. Snowmen are adorable and snowball fights are even better
7. A neighborhood full of Christmas lights can take my breath away
8. Christmas is the season for giving and everyone is friendly
9. Christmas trees are full of magic
10. Sweaters are fuzzy
There is nothing better than curling up on the couch, with the fire going, sipping on some dark hot chocolate, and admiring the Christmas tree. But there is only one month I want to do that in, December. So why am I curled up on the couch, drinking some hot chocolate, watching the warm fire, and thinking about what sweater I want to wear to school tomorrow in October?
Love Love Love
P.S. I really do love Christmas. That is why my list consists of ten things, not five. I just wish Mother Nature would listen to my concerns and bring the fire watching, sweater wearing, hot chocolate drinking weather next month.

Eavesdropping
The other day when I was given the assignment to eavesdrop in one of my classes I had no idea it would be so exciting. I felt like Jason Bourne without the killing. I found two girls sitting on the couch; I secretly sat next to them, got out a text book and pretended to be taking notes from my readings when I was really writing down every word they said. Sometimes the girls would stop talking and I thought that they were on to me. Luckily, they were just texting. The only disappointment from the whole assignment was the fact that I felt like I was listening in on an episode of the MTV reality show, The Hills. They talked really slow and the conversation was really great, almost too great. Like a producer had told them I was coming so they scripted out what they were going to say. That didn’t happen though. It was their reality.
Love Love Love
P.S. Next time you’re having a conversation be careful because someone might be writing down what you are saying.

Awkward Keyboard Moments!
I am afraid of the germs in the computer lab. It takes me at least 5 minutes to sanitize the computer and my hands before I can start any work. I get 2 complimentary Lysol wipes, and find an empty spot. I wipe down the mouse and the keyboard first and then I wipe down the desk area. Sure, some may call me a germaphobe, but I just call it cautious.
P.S. Later I realized that if you exit out of the program then the keys will work again.

8 Structure Steps
1. The problem: Annie loses her lunch
2. 2. The need: She knows her classmates are her friends. But she runs around accusing her friends for stealing her lunch.
3. 3. The desire: She wants to find her lunchbox.
4. 4. The inciting incident: Annie accuses her classmates and it makes them mad because she won’t believe them. They didn’t steal her lunch. They accuse Annie of the one who is being mean.
5. 5. The journey: Annie goes through every kid’s lunchbox trying to see if they took her food. She gets to the point where she is bullying them, they are not bullying her.
6. 6. The climax: After Annie goes through her classmate’s lunchboxes the bell rings so she has to return to class. When she is back in her class she runs around looking through all of the desks. Right when she opens her backpack, the teacher says it’s time to sit down. Her desk neighbor tells her that that is her backpack and that Annie’s backpack is in the back hanging up where she left it.
7. 7. Self-revelation: Annie runs to the back and looks in her backpack and there is her lunch. She realizes that her classmates weren’t out to get her. They were telling the truth, they didn’t take her lunch.
8. 8. Denouement: Annie has found her lunch. Her classmates weren’t being mean. In the end, Annie sits down at her desk and opens her lunchbox. She pulls out her sandwich. Ready to take a bite, her teacher tells her lunchtimes is over and she should have eaten during the lunch hour.
Storyline
Annie, an elementary student, gets to make her lunch for school for the first time. She puts all of her favorite foods in her lunch. When she gets to school she brags to all of her classmates that she has the best lunch. When the lunch hour arrives she goes to her backpack to get her lunchbox and her lunch box is missing. The whole lunch hour she goes around from student to student trying to find her lunch.

Okay....wow! I can't believe this day has arrived....the day I, Krystal, have a blog. I am a little fishy about this whole blog thing because A.) I like people to call me on the phone B.) I have horrible grammar C.) I don't have a C. So you fellow Blog Followers, is that what you call it? I am going to call you my fellow "blogwers" you are going to have to deal with my grammar situation, I enjoy it, so if you want to be one of my "blogwers" you will have to suck it up and deal with it too. And if you are my true "blogwer" you may call me or text me because I will not be giving much info about my life. My blog will just be random thoughts that pop up into my head.
