Over the weekend I went to Tuacahn’s musical production, “Annie”. Obviously, I liked the play because it brings back the great memories of my youth. That little red headed orphan played on my VCR over and over. The writing for this show is very dated, but can still be enjoyed today. It’s a classical storyline and I enjoy it. I really like the fact that it is about a 10-year old girl because most musicals aren’t about young kids.
In my opinion, the one fault I find is I don’t really like the character Annie. Sure, she’s nice, but she seems a little aggressive and snooty about the fact that she has Daddy Warbucks. And I always feel bad for the other orphans. This musical is a celebration of not being an orphan anymore, but to me it’s a sad story of the other orphans who still live in the orphanage.
P.S. “You’re a little orphan, nobody cares about you!” Name that movie…..
Smells like Candy Canes on Christmas
Top 5 reasons why cold weather is gross
1. It is coldTop 5 reasons why cold weather is full of awesomeness
1. Snow is prettyThere is nothing better than curling up on the couch, with the fire going, sipping on some dark hot chocolate, and admiring the Christmas tree. But there is only one month I want to do that in, December. So why am I curled up on the couch, drinking some hot chocolate, watching the warm fire, and thinking about what sweater I want to wear to school tomorrow in October?

P.S. I really do love Christmas. That is why my list consists of ten things, not five. I just wish Mother Nature would listen to my concerns and bring the fire watching, sweater wearing, hot chocolate drinking weather next month.
The other day when I was given the assignment to eavesdrop in one of my classes I had no idea it would be so exciting. I felt like Jason Bourne without the killing. I found two girls sitting on the couch; I secretly sat next to them, got out a text book and pretended to be taking notes from my readings when I was really writing down every word they said. Sometimes the girls would stop talking and I thought that they were on to me. Luckily, they were just texting. The only disappointment from the whole assignment was the fact that I felt like I was listening in on an episode of the MTV reality show, The Hills. They talked really slow and the conversation was really great, almost too great. Like a producer had told them I was coming so they scripted out what they were going to say. That didn’t happen though. It was their reality.

P.S. Next time you’re having a conversation be careful because someone might be writing down what you are saying.
I am afraid of the germs in the computer lab. It takes me at least 5 minutes to sanitize the computer and my hands before I can start any work. I get 2 complimentary Lysol wipes, and find an empty spot. I wipe down the mouse and the keyboard first and then I wipe down the desk area. Sure, some may call me a germaphobe, but I just call it cautious.
P.S. Later I realized that if you exit out of the program then the keys will work again.
1. The problem: Annie loses her lunch
2. 2. The need: She knows her classmates are her friends. But she runs around accusing her friends for stealing her lunch.
3. 3. The desire: She wants to find her lunchbox.
4. 4. The inciting incident: Annie accuses her classmates and it makes them mad because she won’t believe them. They didn’t steal her lunch. They accuse Annie of the one who is being mean.
5. 5. The journey: Annie goes through every kid’s lunchbox trying to see if they took her food. She gets to the point where she is bullying them, they are not bullying her.
6. 6. The climax: After Annie goes through her classmate’s lunchboxes the bell rings so she has to return to class. When she is back in her class she runs around looking through all of the desks. Right when she opens her backpack, the teacher says it’s time to sit down. Her desk neighbor tells her that that is her backpack and that Annie’s backpack is in the back hanging up where she left it.
7. 7. Self-revelation: Annie runs to the back and looks in her backpack and there is her lunch. She realizes that her classmates weren’t out to get her. They were telling the truth, they didn’t take her lunch.
8. 8. Denouement: Annie has found her lunch. Her classmates weren’t being mean. In the end, Annie sits down at her desk and opens her lunchbox. She pulls out her sandwich. Ready to take a bite, her teacher tells her lunchtimes is over and she should have eaten during the lunch hour.
